Paul Topolos Series – Drawing Research Group

This series follows artist and designer Paul Topolos as he describes life drawing as a touchstone to his creative practice, and a discipline that he continues to return to in his work at Pixar. Like practising scales for the piano, marks on paper help to create a foundation for his painting work. He relates examples of integrated drawings, where several Pixar artists will work on the same scene, and the importance of collaborative team work, with reference to Up, The Incredibles and Partly Cloudy.
